cannot see translated text in menus

Description

i'm using the default

<?php if (isset($primary_links)) { ?><?php print theme('links', $primary_links, array('class' =>'links', 'id' => 'navlist')) ?><?php } ?>

but i cannot see the translated menus items like i translted into admin/build/menu (swithcing between translations like i do translating the content)

Status:active» postponed (maintainer needs more info)

Did you follow the installation instructions and apply the patch to Drupal core?
