Limit the Character Length of a Field Output (Node Title) in Views?

I would like to limit the output of a Node Title in My Views but can't figure out a way to do so. Under Arguments for "node title" it says "The argument will filter by the node title. For this argument, set the option to the number of characters, using 0 for full term; use 1 for an A/B/C style glossary." but I'm not sure that this is referring to limiting the character length output of the title, at least I can't figure out how to do so. I would appreciate any help on this.
