Admin:Ok; Auth / other user profiles: Not so much

I'm so happy to see you corresponding with end users! Thank you for this great feature set.

I'm implementing advprovile with nodeprofile(though i could probably just use bio, might be my next try)
Dont know if tyhat would really fix anything, though. I' using a uprofile node type, and as admin i can view and edit my uprofile. Other users, though I cant. I've checked the access control, and that appears to be fine. If i check the box to allow users to add a profile from the usersignup zone, that appears, but it still doesnt appear. Regardless, I cant edit, or even view, a user profiel as the user. User/1 (admin) can see another users profile, but I get the familiar 'cant create another node of this type for this user'

The only access control i see is for administer advanced profiles. I allowed users to edit their own content, but the page I get has only links to the base user profile content types.

Any ideas?
