Hi,
the problem is that I’m not sure how to set up the taxonomy right. What i read is that it is important to do it right from the beginning that later everything can be done like I need it.
Here is a snippet from my structure to show how the content will be sorted.
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/8357/menuza6.jpg

The thing is that I’m not sure what needs to be vocabulary and what term. Later I want the menu like in the Joomla template “Sporticus” on http://demo.rockettheme.com/.
That means my „Artikel“ is for example “Features” in the demo. If you klick on “Artikel” underneath will show up “Training”. If you klick on “Training” (in demo „SplitMenu Overview“) the right menu will show up with „Alter/Geschlechts Spezifisch“.

The other thing I want is that if you klick on “Training” a side shows up like this one http://drupalworx.com/links .

I want the content to show up on the homepage (Artikel) like iJoomla NewsPortal does it (http://news2.ijoomlademo.com/) or here http://www.theworld.org/ .

So is “Artikel” a vocabulary and all the other stuff a term and subterms? Or is “Training” a vocabulary or maybe “Alter/Geschlechts Spezifisch“?
„Alter/Geschlechts Spezifisch“ or „Cardio“ would be in this example http://drupalworx.com/links the headline above the links.

The other thing is that for example “Over 40” can have another subterm. That means I want all the content in this subterm also listed if I klick on “Over 40” and a link or a filter on the top off the page that you can klick for showing only the content of the subterm.

Ok, this thread is only the question how to set up the taxonomy right.

Here in this picture from my old Joomla you can see how I want to show later the content (nodes) http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/1051/joomlajf2.jpg

I hope my English is not to bad and sorry for orthographic mistake’s.

I hope you can help somebody who get stuck with Joomla and want to leave it cause he can’t do there what he needs.

think of it this way.

a vocabulary = a container
a term = a category

Sure, but what needs to be a container and what a category :-)

I think all terms you want to show/use on your website are to be terms. The 'vocabulary' is just a name for a group of terms, used for administration purposes. So 'article' could be a term in the vocabulary 'content types'. If article would be the only content type that you're using for your website, then of course the 'content types' vocabulary would be superfluous, and you could create a vocabulary called 'article'.
But as you want to create a menu item called 'article' (which will be shown on your site), I think you should make it a term.

It will be hard for other people to tell you exactly how you have to set up your taxonomy, as they don't know exactly what you want to do with your site (even though, admittedly, you did your best in explaining your needs). The best thing to do, of course, would be to familiarise yourself with the way taxonomy works. Also have a look at some taxonomy-related modules, because that will give you an idea of what it can/will be used for.

(Note that I'm not a Drupal die hard myself, so I could be wrong, but I'm sure that if that is the case, more experienced users will show us both the path to enlightenment...)

Seems like i have to make „Alter/Geschlechts Spezifisch“ or “Cardio” a vocabulary. Because if I want to give the user a views filter to lets say only “Over 40” than if everything is a term, all terms show up in the dropdown. Right?

Also I have to make for everything an extra view and my linkspage I have to build by hand because the links go to a view?
