I've got the following error message when trying to enable notifications, notifications_autosubscribe, notifications_content, notifications_tags and notifications_ui modules:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function notifications_module_information() in sites/all/modules/notifications/notifications_ui/notifications_ui.module on line 261
Drupal 5.7, Messaging 5.x-1.0-beta2. Website is inaccessible.

jose reyero commentedSeems your plug-ins are out of sync. (??)
Anyway, this should be working fine on beta3, or latest dev
Comment #2
archetwist commentedNo, the problem was that even though I was allowed to enable all of these modules at once (the checkboxes at the page were active) this messed up the installation process. I tried to enable them one by one - this time without an error.

archetwist commentedI don't think it really is fixed. Users shouldn't be able to enable modules with unfulfilled requirements.

Please be more specific so we can attempt to reproduce it
However, I've just installed the modules you mention with no issues, so I'll mark it as fixed.
Reopen if you can reproduce it with latest version (RC1).

techczech commentedThis just happened to me with vesion 1.2 when I forgot to enable Notifications and enabled Notifications_UI. I had to go into the database to fix it.
