Im trying to figure out how to create for each page that i create , an resume on the front page, with a small picture. Then people can click on it and open the real page. If anyone know how do i do it, please tell me, cause i am all the afternoon trying it.

How would it be different
How would it be different from the existing node teasers, which are automatically listed in the existing default front page for all nodes which are Published and Promoted?
hummm..how I do that?

You just write something
You just write something (create story, create page, create blog entry, or anything). Before hitting the Submit button, you check the publishing options to make sure that Published and Promoted are selected.
Then that node should appear listed in your front page.
Some node types (like Story) have those options selected by default. For other types you need to change it. Or you can go to admin and change a node type's default behavior.
i got it, but i would like
i got it, but i would like to show the "promoted" as something different from what is written on the real page:
FrontPage:
" About a dog who like to bury bones".
Page:
Ruffos is a gray dog blablabla
Normally the teaser field is
Normally the teaser field is filled automatically with an excerpt when you edit a node, but you can put your own stuff if you prefer.
--------- Edited to add:
I see what you mean. There used to be a couple of modules for Drupal 5 which maintained a completely separate teaser, http://drupal.org/project/excerpt and http://drupal.org/project/nodeteaser, but none for Drupal 6 yet. There used to be other ways as well, modifying the node type with the CCK module to include a teaser field, and then displaying the teaser list with the Views module or some other method. Those are not yet available for Drupal 6 either.
In short, with Drupal 6 you will be limited to what core provides for some time.
so i thin kits better i
so i thin kits better i choose use the version 5 because there are better modules for me...and it will be easy upgrade it all my website in the future?
If those features are
If those features are necessary for you now, then yes, starting with Drupal 5 it will be easy to upgrade in autumn if you use modules which are maintained actively.
Actually, those modules will probably not be upgraded
Actually, those modules will probably not be upgraded to Drupal 6 since that feature is in Drupal 6 core.
flp, after you click on the edit button of some content, you'll see a "split summary at cursor" button above the body field. Add your summary in the top field and that text will be displayed on your home page. Also see the Drupal 6 release doc - http://drupal.org/drupal-6.0. Scroll down to the "It's the little things..." section
Good to know. I missed that
Good to know. I missed that change and never tried it.
Thanks! But I'm still think
Thanks! But I'm still think in using 5x because it have a good module for thumbnail integration when embedding YouTube.
Teaser that is separate from the full node
So I read the "It's the little things..." section that states:
"You decide whether to have a teaser or a separate summary for each post."
This sounds like what Excerpt used to provide. I've got the "split summary at cursor" feature working OK, to create a teaser for a node, but I can't figure out how to create it in such a way that the teaser doesn't appear as part of the full node view when the user clicks through from the teaser.
I'm guessing this is possible but finding out how is proving difficult. Any clues?
Thanks
David

In edit mode, uncheck "Show
In edit mode, uncheck "Show summary in full view"
Doh!
OK - thanks. Guess I should have looked a little harder.
