Unable to install Drupal 6.2 in either sub or a domain.

I've tried installing Drupal 6.2 on my dedicated server with no success today.

I've setup a subdomain and uploaded all the files to the folder that the subdomain is pointing to. When I go to the URL wiki.bderen.com I get an error message

"Error 404 - Not found
Your browser can't find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in."

and the url changes to "http://wiki.bderen.com/system-bin/install.php"

Same thing happens when I just create a folder on an existing domain and upload the files there

Is it suppose to be uploaded to a specific folder? what ma I doing wrong?
