I have quite a few customers who love your theme, but they all would like it to have drop down menus on the primary links section. Is there any way for you to make it possible?

Check out Nice Menus module. You might need to alter the theme slightly to accommodate it, but it's pretty easy to integrate and offers this type of functionality.

Due to the amount of logic and code needed to implement dropdowns, I would say it's beyond the scope of Zen to offer this functionality.

Agreed. Also, there are many, many CSS methods that can do drop down menus; but I've found they are very sensitive to the surrounding CSS. So supporting this in Zen core would be near impossible since everyone would be modifying the surrounding CSS.

But it might be useful to integrate Nice Menus with Zen Classic to show how its done. I'm setting this to "postponed" until someone volunteers to do this. (It won't be on my list of to-dos.)

I use zenclassic as a base for a dummy site there. Just in case this will suffice I'll be happy to share. At the time of creation I use zen 5x.1.0. But I don't see much difference with d6 version. Thanks

I am trying to clean up the code, as it is now full of views css and make it fully compatible with d6. I'll propose to zen maintainer perhaps in a couple of weeks, if it's worth enough to share for the community. Thanks for your interest.
