Many mailing list software packages have an option to add a label to the subject line of all posted messages so if a member sends a message with subject "A question" the list sends it out as "[List-l] A question". This is usually meant as a filter-friendly way of sorting messages. I bet you already know what I mean.

It would be great if Listhandler had an option to specify this label so that it gets stripped before it gets posted to the forum. Otherwise you're forced to choose between a flood of forum posts starting with [List-l] or turning off this feature.

I suggest a grep-like interface so you can specify a particular string, anything in brackets, the first 12 characters of the subject line, etc. That way it could be a single global Listhandler setting and be capable of stripping multiple lists. This feature could also be used to strip stuff like Re: and Fwd: generated by e-mail clients.
