I'm just testing this out on a test site, so, usually, I'm making a node, sending it through moderation, approving it, and I want to go back to the node, not the queue. Oddly, I found it difficult to get to the node, there was no link. Even when I go to the log, there's no direct link to the node itself.

I don't know how it would be easiest for you to put it in, but on the post-approval and post-no action screen, I think there should be a link to the node. (obviously for delete, that would be silly.)

Well, for no-action you can already be able to click on the node title to get there, so this seems only relevant for approval.
