Forums issue with 5.7 and /admin/user/access/ with 5.6

Hi,

I am using drupal 5.6 with various modules. When I go to the above page the page access is not logged in the recent hits, and the page is not displayed, not a 404 or 500, just a blank white page with no title, page source is empty. I have lots of roles in the system (200 I guess - sounds excessive I know), but even when I had many fewer, 10 ish, this problem still occured. I think this is due to too many roles in the system but I would like to see a page saying can't display due to too many roles then redirecting to users page or... a paging system so that all the roles maybe seen.

a third manner would be if you could horizontal scroll, leaving the priv name showing and scrolling to the right to show all the roles. very similar to using freeze panes in excel - I understand this would be difficlt in html.

I have tried to upgrade to 5.7 but this broke my forums (srop down of forums to post to disappeared) so I haven't implemented it on the live server.
