I have a new 5.7 installation. After an normal user edit a book page a new revision is always created, regardless of the fact that the "create new revision" option is not checked for book page content type. However when I give the user "administer nodes" permission, such that the "create new revision" option appear in the editing page, revision creation on/off obeys the option.
I understand books are supposed to create revision, but the behavior is inconsistence. Is this a bug or feature?
