mine are all 1, 2, 3, 4 ect.
when i go to create links how am i supposed to know which number leads to what? so i say to myself, well i must be able to rename them... but i cant figure out how?
i did search the forums for a similar question, and figured id find it but i didnt see anything. i figure this question has been asked before (if not many times) so sorry if this is somewhere obvious... or is obvious... well its not to me! :}

What you are talking about
What you are talking about is the id and can not be changed. You have control over the title which you can search for. You can also alias the paths so instead of node/1 someone might see all-about-drupal. The paths module allows you to do this manually, the path auto module allows you to automate this based on criteria you select.
thank you
very helpful... so how does anyone keep track of which pages = which ID? your saying that path module will do it for you? i mean, i just want to know the ID's of each of my pages... i swear there was a place to see that and now i cant find it
Are you thinking of
Are you thinking of Administer > Content management > Content?
no...
Administer > Content management > Content only shows you the nodes that you have routed your content to.
I'm looking for a page that shows you the actual nodes and what numbers they are... but I feel like I've figured it out, and there doesn't seem to be that kind of page... soooo thanks!
