I can not reproduce.

Are there other filters in the used input format?

Does he square bracket also fail with other tags: [blockcode], and e.g. [java], [pyhon] if you have some language tags enabled?

What code is between the tags?

Sorry soxofaan I've been very ill and neglecting my drupal sites. Appears to not be a problem 6.x-1.2 so it's either been fixed or was a conflict at my end with the bbcode filter that got fixed as a side effect of me fixing something else.
