On Drupal 5.7 under Apache 2.2, browsing files through WebFM using IE7 is not possible for me because the browser window frequently becomes frozen.

I'm able to load the tree initially (albeit very slowly), but browsing further very soon becomes impossible as display updates stop working. When this happens, the processor usage on the browsing computer rises high for a moment and then goes down, after which IE stops responding for a few minutes. After that I can usually use other tabs but the one with WebFM loaded will be completely hung.

I don't know if it is related to the issue, but my file system permissions for the executing script user are read-only for most of the directory tree. These permissions lead to many error messages when browsing using WebFM..

As per #803722: Cease support of Drupal 5? support for D4 and D5 has been closed. Sorry, please upgrade to Drupal 6. If you think this issue still applies with Version 6.x please reopen this issue with correct version tag.
