I really like the implications of this module. When I get a chance, I'll see how it works on my site.
Would it be possible to hide the sidebar until a link is clicked on the page?

That's a nice idea for an option.
I won't have time to implement it for a while, but if you or anyone else want to add it, I'd be happy to include it.

I think that's something you should do in your theme. I suggest making some fancy CSS, JS, and/or DHTML to act on this tag (or the similar one in your output):
