This is a great module and it does exactly what i want when returning users login. Thanks!

Right now we are getting ready to allow users to create their own logins on the site, with email verification. They get email from drupal with a temporary password, and then change the password. I would like them to go to the same destination page after they do this as they would if they had logged in regularly.

Can login destination work under those circumstances?

I didn't fully understand what you need but login_destination.module uses DESTINATION parameter to redirect a user upon login. It alters login form. Will you be using login form or your own form?
