Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Please, support the the possibility to access other table from another database than drupal's.
May be, is needed a new type, like "external data", a new box in the wizard to insert the database and table.
For the fields, it should be simple to read the table data structure and display the avaiables fields.
filter and sort should work fine
In my opinion this is one the more needed feature in Drupal. Simple, user friendly, and easy to maintain! instead of build custom modules ....

For you, maybe. For me it sounds like a nightmare. It can already support external databases, but there is absolutely no way there will ever be a UI that lets you enter database and table names.

I still belive that you may have a second thought ;-)
When you say, that views already suport external database, how can we do it? could you help me in this ?
is there any doc that explains that?
Many thks, and by the way, great job you are doing with this module,
