Expressions of interest for creating a Metadata module

harrismw - May 23, 2008 - 16:02

HURIDOCS are currently in the process of looking for people to help us with a project for encouraging the use of metadata by human rights organisations on the Web.

You can find a project proposal at the HURIDOCS website, which outlines what we are looking at at the moment. Basically we would like a module for Drupal that will make it easy to add bibliographic metadata to pages.

It must be remembered, that we currently do not have funding for this project, and at this stage are merely examining options and finding people who might be interested to help once we have funding.

However, once we have funding, we will be happy to provide a short-term contract for the development of the module.

One important thing to note, any tool developed for this is intended to be Free Software, and released under a version of the GNU General Public Licence. As such, it would be easy to incorporate this work back into the body Drupal if so desired, or for anyone else to re-use this work.

If you are interested, or want to discuss things further, contact harrismw huridocs.org.

Thank you,
Michael.
