Right after installation, home->administer->settings->image still displays errors related to file/images... Why not tell users to change write permissions to files/images at the beginning of installation? Why not automatically create files/images/temp? In fact, the installation is creating a folder called files/images/tmp ... it would be way better to just correct the name of that folded in the installation script...
Best,
.L.

rschingler commentedI have tried doing this, but I still have been unsuccessful in getting around the permissions. I actually had to rename the file 'images2' because I couldn't delete the 'images' file (again due to permissions). The error still reads: 'node/add/image denied access'. I also posted this under 'Image Module Permissions' as an issue a day after this post. Thanks for your help!
