OK. No Drupal bashing going on here......I REALLY like it. I'm what you call a reformed Joomla user.

However................Joomla has a calendar module that you just install and use, and it has a wonderful GUI administrator. And I definitely am not going back.

My goal is to have someone, a VERY non-computer savvy person update the calendar for my non-profit website.

Is there nothing out there that is easier to admin that either Events (not very nice looking, but ok) or Calendar + Date (very powerful, but very confusing to admin....????

The only other option I can think of is the WebCalendar integration module, but I'd recommend trying to make the Date+Calendar combination work. Drupal offers a lot of flexibility in how forms and nodes can be customized. If you have specific issues that are making it confusing, you may be able to modify the associated forms and nodes to better suit your needs. Or consider contributing patches back to the associated modules, if you have specific module usability enhancements.
