Nusoap's charset encoding defaults to ISO-8859-1.
Some international characters may suffer from it, so I suggest to use a more generic UTF-8 by default (especially in respect that Drupal's default encoding is utf8 too).
Maybe it's even worth to create a corresponding configuration option.
