Kitty-Cam

Here's my latest Drupal site -- Kitty-Cam!

http://www.kittycam.net/

This was always just a static (and dreadful!) website until just a couple weeks ago.

I think the design is nice/cute, but all my sites seem to have a way of looking the same and I have yet to do anything terribly brilliant.

At any rate, the site is still lacking content and I want to get more there to bring back users, but I find coming up with good and organized content to be a bit challenging. Other than more information about the cats and maybe a message forum, I struggle with what else to add. Maybe it doesn't need much beyond that, I'm not sure.

My biggest struggle so far has been those previous webcam images. I use the image module for all the cat images. We use Webcam32 to push up the originals and thumbnails every 5 minutes. The challenge was getting Drupal's naming convention of the thumbnails to match what Webcam32 was pushing up. I ended up doing a modification of this hack of the mod. Basically I needed to tokenize the image name. I struggled with that for a week or so (I'm a PHP beginner) only to realize I need to put my piece of code within a function instead of outside of it in order for the function to use the variables (duh!).

Comments appreciated!
