I just have destroy my site and have to reconstruct all over because of not upgrading to the corresponding versions. This time I want to be shure.

You should be fine. There were two changes from 6.0/6.1 to 6.2 that affect module development. http://drupal.org/node/244569

I expect most/all of the module maintainers have made those updates. In general, 6.x means any version between 6.0 and 7.0 (not including 7.0).

You did back up your site (file system and database) before you upgraded right?

yes I did, anyway I had to build all over again because of not updating to drupal 6.2, nothing worked after installing some 6.1 modules
