thanks for this module, it's really cool.

I'd like to suggest a list block featuring all months which have posts, e.g:
"- jan 2008
- dec 2007
- nov 2007"

I've looked all around and there's nothing close to that - not on a "for dummies" approach. and don't even get me started on Views module..... lol

I also suggest that the list view can be replaced by a dropdown menu. both list view and dropdown could feature indented months beneath years. now isn't that simpler than a calendar? ;]

Alright, here's a nice item list view of the last 6 months. I don't want to make a dropdown select for the specific month, as I don't think that's really as pretty as this. Anyways, since it's just a theme function that arranges the links, you could override that function to convert the item list into a select. Let me know if this works.

Alright, here's an updated version so that you can configure the number of items displayed. The select is still a "won't fix" though.
