default settings don't do anything

I installed the module, went to the browser page I saw in my navigation menu -- but there was nothing there.
I had to go an enable categories in the admin page: none are enabled by default
In other words, out of the box the module doesn't do anything, which is a little confusing.

I suggest either:
a) put a drupal message in the install hook to say "Go and enable the categories you want at the admin page" (with a link), so the admin who has just installed this module knows there is another step to take before it's read
b) enable all vocabs by default
