I have migrated an installation of drupal with database to my localhost. All has gone well except I get page not found when I select menu items. The pages are all there in node_revision and can be edited there. Why can't I access them? Newly created pages are also in node_revision and I can access them.

Can you give specific examples. Maybe go into the menu definition and see how the menu is defined.

If you hard coded paths into the menu items when you created them that would do it.
