Why Multiping failed to notify most and other not ?

Hi
I got Multiping to work with some ping services.
I have a list of about 60 + ping services, of them only 18 are working.
Yesterday I got this list in my report:
- Failed to notify thingamablog.sourceforge.net

Does anyone got these to work or yet better where can I find instructions on how to set it up right?
I using drupal 5.3 -- MySQL 4 -- PHP 4

Any help greatly appreciated, love to get the ping working!!!

Are you sure that the services you have configured are still active? I randomly picked three sites from your list:

blogg.de ceased to work a long time ago, too...

Thanks for responding.
I took the list from a recent wordpress release.
I also used an other blogging service and copied from there as well.
The problem for me is to find a good up to date list on ping sites, since Multiping comes with no list attached. Once I found a list reference somewhere on drupal and copied it with a similar result. At that time I deleted the once that did not work.
The documentation that comes with multiping does not say much to me, I have no experience in how to set up a ping service at all, after all I am more a user who can input data and manage to get things done by try and error.
Multiping is not really friendly in the respect of try and error, since it is time consuming to activate or deactivate multiple ping service at once. It would be nice to be able to do it in the overview.

If you have any hints or urls to point to, to get a working ping list or how to set it put in multiping please share.
I will update here on the ping list if I find anything new.
