I want to allow member to edit their own post. I just noticed that not only they are able to edit their own posts, they can also edit other ppl's posts. Seems like drupal forum got same problem, that's why you are not allowed to edit ur own post.

is there way to fix it?

do a search, I've seen either a snippet or a contrib module that handles this.

I'll keep this thread in mind as I sift through other threads and If I come across it, I will post back.

That module only affects access to modules not a core altering of permissions to edit/delete.

http://drupal.org/node/153998 is a discussion on this very issue, though its being worked on for Drupal 7.x, it's been backported to Drupal 6.x, I didn't read enough to know if it's going to be backported to drupal 5.x
