I have been playing with Drupal for a week and havent figured this one out yet. I used to work for a sports service where i would type in the stories and they used drupal. I used to manually enter the tags, could enter whatever i wanted and they didnt have to be pre-defined. How do i active this or is it a module or soemthing?

Example I am writing a story about the red sox and world series it would have title of story then it would have tags and i would enter say Red Sox, 2004 World Series, 2007 World Series, Curt Schilling, Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Johnny Damon, Colorado Rockies, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals

THen i would enter the story

What you are looking for is "free tagging". Create a vocabulary, disable hierarchy and enable free tagging. Voila all done!

I've only been playing with this a few days but I believe it is Administer > Taxonomy > Add vocabulary and then under Settings check the checkbox for Tags.

that doesnt appear to do it. Im not finding anything in the search either, anyone have ideas for me to get free tagging working, how to activate it
