As the site administrator (user #1) I go to Admin->Themes->Configure->Global settings and click on "Browse" button to "Upload logo image:" and select the image I wish to upload.

When I click on "Save configuration", the "Path to custom logo:" now shows the correct file, but the file itself is not uploaded. I know the file permissions allow the web server to write to that directory and I get no error messages. What do I need to check.

Are you, by chance, using the 'Themed Logo' feature? And if you are, can you tell me if this problem persists when you disable the 'Themed Logo' feature?

"Use themed logo" is not checked.
