Is there a setting or an existing module that will allow me to set the order of the nodes displayed on my front page based on most recent comment? Currently it displays the most recently created Blog nodes at the top, just under stickied nodes. What I'd like is for Blog items with the most recent comments to be displayed first, so that older items that get a new comment are promoted to the top of the list.

Thanks NP, Views took care of it. Complicating the problem was that somehow Superuser did not have permission to administer views, so I didn't have the module as an option in my menus.

I found the sort options a dificult to decipher, but once I got the filter working correctly, it was relatively simple to set sort criteria including "comment: last comment date" - descending, right after sticky - descending and before "node: created date".
