Issue Summary

I saw the request to add e-mail notification to admins/mods when a new post is reported, but I thought it would also be useful if there were some type of easy notification system so admins/mods didn't have to click the link to check every time they login.

For instance, if you've ever used the privatemsg module, it has a persistant notification in red at the top of every page that you have a new private message waiting for you. The notification doesn't go away until the message is read, and it can be turned on/off in settings.

Another option would be to put a number after the link to the page that indicates the number of reported posts waiting for review. For instance, the link could display "Abuse Moderation (2)" when there are two reported posts needing attention.

Thank you for the great module, just relaying some requests from my staff to the source. :)

I'm wondering if someone might be willing to help create a notifications or messaging plugin so that this could take place - I'm not that well versed in the two but I think they might be the way to go on this part.

This would be good to have in both the 5.x and 6.x branches.

Has this functionality ever been included? On the project page it says "An email is sent to the administrator to notify them who flagged what". However, I never saw any email being sent to the administrator at any time.

Subscribing.
I never saw an email, and I'm still looking for a "list of flagged nodes", as I'm only seeing the "Thank you for your report.", but from the admin part I can't review any list, emails...
I'm missing the point??

I would love to see this module grow, but I haven't seen an update since Oct 2009, well over a 1/2 year ago. I almost believe this module is unusable without some kind of notification system.

Some examples of where a notification system is needed.

1) If you run multiple sites
2) You are only expecting a few flags a month but they are important enough that you need to check a few times a day, or be notified ASAP

The above tasks can be difficult if you are not online, and an email firing would be enough for me. You could be notified instantly if you have the right setup with your data phone. Logging into your admin side and clicking links is not my idea of being "notified".

I should also state that this module works with anonymous users, whereas "Flag Abuse" does not yet currently work with anonymous users. Sounds like they are close with using "Session API", but I have been testing it and it does not work for me. Anonymous flagging is a requirement for me so I really want to stick with this module. Who is maintaining this? Could you add "Flag Abuse" to a workflow module to get an email firing. Sounds like overkill, but what really are my options?
