Greetings -

I've built several website with Drupal 5.x but over the past six months I have been on hiatus and have not been following the Drupal site at all. When I went on hiatus I had ascertained that although Drupal 6.x had been released, it wasn't in broad use for production websites just yet due to the lack of a few key contributed modules. That's the last thing I know.

Basically, I'm going to spend time here on the site looking around to see whether or not I should use Drupal 6.x for my new website that I'm making here in the next week. But my question for the community basically is, has Drupal 6.x become ready for broad use over the past few months? If you are able to give me a short briefing to catch me up, I'd be greatly indebted to you.

Thanks, and take care.

Although I haven't used D6 much myself I have not been keen because of the big gap with views and CCK not really where they should be just quite yet, but I am sure that it will be great to work with once that has been properly covered. Thats just my humble opinion, happy Drupaling :)

Thanks for your input. Those were the first two modules I looked at and it doesn't look good just yet. I'm sure I can do what I need to do with 5.x, but I thought I'd save myself the trouble and use 6 right away if possible.
