Can login to my site - please Help!

zottmann - May 29, 2008 - 15:23

Hi!

I was changing the configurations of a content type of my site when my internet connection got down. One day later, when I tried to access the site again, I was not able to log in to the site with any account.

The login page shows up, but no matter what user I try to authenticate, it just shows me the login page again. I'm using loggin toboggan.

What should I do to be able to authenticate to the site again?

Thanks in advance,
Carlos.

Hi

Not sure how much I can help, but if you provide a little more information others may be able to.

What version of drupal, php and mysql are you using? Is this a shared host, could they have recently upgraded php? Also, when you try to login does it give you an error of incorrect password or does it just refresh the login page?

If it's saying your password is incorrect, you may like to check out this thread, http://drupal.org/node/32650

Thanks

try in different browser.

Hi!

Thank you both for your replies, and sorry for the lack of details....

I'm using Drupal 5.7, php 5, and mysql 4.1.22-standardlog. The site is hosted at cirtexhosting, and they use php 4.4.8 by default, but I have an .htaccess directive enabling php 5, which was working till the last time I managed to login.

I'm not getting wrong passwords warnings. The login page simply is shown again, with blank username and password fields.

I've tried to login with Firefox and Opera, from an Ubuntu desktop. Didn't try with Internet Explorer from a windows machine yet.

Thanks again!
Carlos.

Just a little bit more information: I'm using shared hosting.
