I'm having fun here.
I have Drupal 5.2 running www.likal.com/uk/gloucester and everything has been sweet for months.
Works fine with IE and Firefox on my old XP machine.
Recently I purchased a Vista laptop - Samsung Q45 and it's a pretty vanilla one.
IE - logs in fine but won't display icals (used in event for selecting date).
Firefox - login doesn't take
As far as I can see both browsers allow cookies, have javascript on etc.
However I do find Vista a paranoid pain in the arse and wonder if there some hidden security setting somewhere.
Anyone else finding similar issues? If so, anyone fixed them?
Could it be server? I recently moved the site to a dedicated server, but as I didn't work on the old server with the laptop, i don't know if the problem existed before the move.
I have explore the login issue threads and they all seem to relate to issues with older versions of Drupal.

Vista problems
I have a client with vista problems, too. When he tries to upload images via imce, nothing happens when he clicks the browse button. It should display a popup, but it just does nothing. I thought it might be a popup blocker issue, but the initial add/edit image popup appears, just not the browse popup. He's having the problem with ie7 and firefox. I suspect it's some sort of vista security issue but I haven't been able to look at his pc. It works fine on my xp and mac machines. Not sure if it's related to the js problems you're experiencing.

vista and imce
I have this problem too on numerous sites. IMCE works find on XP. But the Vista machines just make a clicking sound, yet nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas?
Answer to vista IMCE problem
Found the answer. Vista has to many pop-up blockers enabled that it's hard to find them and shut them all off. But there is a simple solution. When you click on the File Browse button in the first lieelt popup from IMCE a short little message flashes at the bottom of the browser window saying to hold ctrl while clicking to allow popups.
Works like a charm. Just hold the ctrl key while clicking on the icon, and the customer will get their files directory, where they can upload files.
