When my biblio node contains month data, the year doesn't show up in the short listing, but when sorting on something other than year, a user can't tell what year a publication is from until he or she opens the node to look at the full view. Shouldn't the short listing show both the month and year? I am using the IEEE format.

rjerome commentedAgreed, I guess the intent (I didn't write the IEEE style) was that the date field would contain something like Mar. 2006, as opposed to just Mar. But I can put a check in such that if both fields are set and the date field doesn't contain a year, then output the year.

brianwwilliams commentedOK, thanks, I can work around it with that for now. I should have also mentioned that I imported about 500 publications from a bibtex file, such that the bibtex had separate month and year tags.

rjerome commentedI just checked in the fix for this and it will be in the -dev version next time the package gets created (once every 12 hours).
