Description

Wow, two new projects by hendler (http://drupal.org/user/17105):

- http://drupal.org/project/event_location (superfluous, since Location already integrates into any content-type)
- http://drupal.org/project/event_google_maps (dito for gmap)

Let's revoke CVS access, and remove those projects. Let's do it. We have enough half-baked geo modules already.

Please.

Rather than just blocking someone our first response should always be to talk with them. This morning I've submitted 2 issues on projects where I felt that a new project was created and the creater was taking things in the wrong direction. Let's use the issue queue for discussion and, when discussion breaks down, move to a more drastic and isolating method like blocking.

Also, this is not critical. It is very easy to delete project nodes or block access later and some random contrib project nodes don't pollute the information space all that badly. We can take time to take good diplomatic steps first and make well discussed decisions on issues like this.

Well, this is a little late but I accidentally responded to this in email and it just bounced back... Here is what I wrote:

Yeah, I don't see much point in those, but he does have other projects and
is a long time user so let's not get too hasty on the disable button. Would
be good to see an answer to http://drupal.org/node/264989

I've responded to http://drupal.org/node/264989 and removed projects from Drupal.org. Should I remove them from CVS? Please let me know if there is anything further I should do. Sorry for the confusion.

If you have any feedback for the other modules - especially if you consider them "half-baked" - feel free to contact me.
