Content Type Settings Not Respected following "Refresh feed on creation"

When submitting a new feed with the "Refresh feed on creation" box checked, FeedAPI loses the content type setting and defaults to story. If "Refresh feed on creation" is not checked but items are imported by a subsequent refresh, the content type (the feedapi_node_type variable?) is respected.

I briefly looked through the module to see if I might be able to submit a quick fix, but there's a little too much there for me to readily grok.
