Hi,
I updated this module on my site, but had to re-enable the 5.x-2.8-version because the 5.x-3.2 tottaly messed up my site.
People with "configure member roles" are not able to access the tab "configure member roles". Those with publishing rights can not make stories and pages within their group at all.
Only as the super user I'm able to assign OG roles and publish within a group.

Sounds like OG Roles aren't being recognized.

You should also make sure you're using OG 5.x-7.2 or higher. That's this issue: http://drupal.org/node/263411

I tried both options. I will again look to the cache issue. It must have something to do with it.
I'll post my findings.

I patched the user.module in a wrong way. Everything works now
