Hello to all,
I didn't see anything posted on this, but I'm running the tarballed release of Civicspace 81. On both my local and ISP host, in the event module, I cannot disable the volunteer option without disabling the module entirely.
Is anyone else seeing this issue? Here's what I've tried
1. admin/settings/volunteer is disabled as the default, but it's still active once an event is created.
2. then I modified the actual event, setting the volunteer admin to -1
Neither of those options worked, so, for now, I've disabled the module. I believe this to be a bug and thus Kieran has asked that I submit it.
thx!

oc commentedI had the same problem, but the problem is not that can't disable the module globally.
You can do this. The problem is that when you upgrade the # of volunteers that is needed defaults to zero, and then the volunteer module kicks into action for preexisting events.
It would make more sense to not display any volunteer info if the # of volunteers needed is 0. This is more logical and user friendly than forcing the user to set the number to -1.

killes@www.drop.org commentedIf the numebr of required volunteers for a specific event is 0 then there is no volunteering. I removed the confusing -1 statement.
