The following Message is shown:
Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in ....../includes/common.inc on line 1265

/?q=forum or /?q=forum/X have that problem, /?q=node/X with forummessage is shown.

This error is shown, when an anonymous user is logged in, as a registered user you have no problems.
It could also be a problem of Forum Access or ACL.

I confirm the same exact problem in drupal version 6.2.
The problem results on anonymous user access to forum.
I do not use Forum Access or ACL modules so it should not be related (perhaps it has something to do with other modules that affect forum).

My issue resolved when I disabled forumthread, not sure if that will help any of you but if nothing else it solved My issue.

using drupal 6.3 on a dev project

@nbs_administrator - this is resolved in the latest -dev version of Forum Thread

@Uwe Loyal and @kwysocki can you confirm whether you are using the Forum Thread module? If you are we should move this issue to Forum Thread instead of the Drupal forum module.

I have this error and I'm not using Forum Thread OR the core Forum module. I have PHPBB3 integrated.

This error occurs when anonymous users attempt to read content through titles or the read more link. Also, on occasion to logged in users now apparently!

I've also had a few more common.inc errors.

This particular one was related to Community Tags module...as soon as it was disabled I no longer had the errors as per this thread. http://drupal.org/node/290915 Thought I would mention it here as my search for the error turned up this post.

I have this problem on the brand new release Drupal 6.16:

When an anonymous user creates a new subject on the forum it gets the error, but not with logged users:

Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /.............../.............../includes/common.inc on line 1426

I have the same issue when creating any content and deselecting the Published box in order to create it as Unpublished. It is one of our sub domain sites that has Forums and Forum Access enabled + ACL. My only workaround is to publish the content and then unpublish via content management. Perhaps the Forum module or ACL could be the ones triggering the problem although there are posts here from people who don't have the Forum enabled at all so something else might be going on with core common.inc
