Blip.tv - wrong video being embeded [#265319]

We have an issue which is puzzling... don't know if anyone else is seeing this. I haven't seen any issues on this opened, so here it goes:

I have entered http://blip.tv/file/877439 in the emfield, but a completely different video is getting embeded in the node.

The node I am talking about is here for you to check

If I edit the node, I see that under the field where the blip.tv link is entered, says (Blip.tv ID: 877439) (the id is linking to http://www.academiadedrupal.com , not sure if this is normal).

Any clues as to why this is happening? Let me know if you need further info to narrow down the issue.

I have just tested emfield on a fresh drupal 5.7 instalation, I added that same video link to bliptv on a new content, and it got displayed properly.

So looks like the problem is with our site alone... I wonder what could be causing this.

It's hard to tell without really getting into the node rendering and such. That error code seems to indicate that the module isn't actually finding a video, though it's odd that it still posts some video.

Can you install the devel module and post the results of a node render on that node?

i'm experiencing the same problem and i'm seing the exact same video instead of the one i want :)
it seems that in field_video['#value'] above, nothing relates to the id of the video that should be embedded

Ok here we go with some debugging and follow up:

In emthumb.module, line 107, the $items[$delta]['data'] = $list['provider']; statement overwrites and wipes the content of $item['data'] as used by theme_video_cck_bliptv_flash, bliptv.inc line 237.

Since I have little knowledge of those modules, I don't really know which one is responsible for the bug. are the two modules supposed to cooperate and use the same 'data' array or is it namespace collision ? In any case, feel free to reassign the component of this bug report.

The corruption happens on validate, it gets into the database. The workaround in my case was to disable emthumb.module because I didn't really need it in the end, then save the nodes with embedded videos again.

I confirm this workaround, works also on our case.
Great work guardian, thanks - I'm not a developer so I'm afraid i wouldn't be of much value investigating farther on what causes this bug, but if/when we need some testing I can help out -:)
