when is 6.x coming ?

Very soon. I've gotten handed a higher priority at work, so all I can say is as soon as I can. I've got a good bit done, just trying to get the views integration working and I'll commit something. I had this working and lost the file by accident, so that was a bit of a setback.

No promises, but I'll definitely try. I've been trying to limit my Drupal addictions to work time only, but as I said I've higher priorities there, so this may bleed over into hobby time.

this module will save me a lot of trouble. I too am waiting eagerly for its release. I may be forced to downgrade to drupal 5 just to use this module ... the functionality it provides is crucial for the design of my site.

This module may be the solution to what I am trying to accomplish. Can anyone please let me know if a Drupal 6 version is being planned? or is there is an alternative available for drupal 6 - searched through the forums, but couldnt find anything. Xtremely sorry if I shouldnt have posted this here.

I really need this too. Would it be possible to get a dev version without the views integration? My site is still in test mode right now, but this is one of the most important pieces of it. I don't need the views yet at this point, but it would be really great to have something to start with. Thanks for creating this!

I dont know much about php programming, but if there is anything at all that I can do to help effect an earlier release for drupal 6, I will be more than happy to

Here's my first patch in an attempt to port. It's not quite complete, views integration not quite working. But the rest of it should be fairly functional. Give it a shot and let's get some feedback :)

i have installed the nodecomment module on drupal 6, but it says incompatible, (obviously)

Here's an updated patch. I've added in a basic view and am working on the threaded comments view ad a Row plugin.

I've created a development branch for this after some more testing. nightly build should be available or check out DRUPAL-6--1 from CVS.

Since the original subject of this issue is now resolved i'm marking this fixed.
