How do people get captions on their images? Is this the same as putting text in the "body" of the image node?

Where do other gallery viewers (like thickbox or views) get, or can they get, a caption to display under the images while "paging" next/prev?

that is definatly related, but I don't think it is a duplicate ... That is a request for 5.x ... And for image attach ... But I'll take another closer look. Thanks :)
