i am using drupal 5.X for phpedu module..since phpedu is not compatible for drupal 6.X..
but i am having problem while running phpedu module with drupal
problem related to functions, like
og_is_group_type()
_get_vocab_vid()

and so on

suggest me the right path

You need to enable organic groups (og) and some phpedu-specific modules first. BTW, phpEdu for Drupal 6.x is in the works.
