I'm having weird problem (on production server): some admin settings do not change, even though they appear to be changeable - after submitting the form, the settings are back to old ones. The production server's database is copied from development server by using db dump.

For example I can not:
- change User settings (e.g. how public registrations should behave)
- update modules

No error messages are displayed. This is very serious problem now, as the site should be published very soon. Any ideas, Please?
