I have upgraded my image module to the 5.x-2.x-dev version, however I do not have any of the views support mentions in the documention.
To upgrade I disable the exisitng Image, Image Gallery, Image Import modules. Uninstalled them. Then replaced the module directory with the 5.x-2.x-dev version. This is now being reported in the Updated Status page so I know its the correct one.
1. I don't have any of the default views
2. I don't have a view type of 'Image: Gallery'
Is there anything else that I need to do?

rbryer commentedNot very helpful. I have views installed and in use through my site. Currently running 5.x-1.6.
I do have the default views from the general views module. I do have all the view type except 'Image: Gallery'

MrMetta commentedI also have this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

dose_of_insanity commentedI'm having the same problems except with Drupal 6.3, with latest views and image modules. (posted here http://drupal.org/node/287819#comment-940250).

qbnflaco commentedThe same thing was happening to me for drupal 5.
In the views administration, you have to clear the views cache (under the tools tab). Now image_* views are listed under default.
