Could the talk module be to used to create a single forum topic per each node in a Tab?

I don't understand your question. Forum topics ARE nodes... what do you mean by this?

Yeah, I am basically asking if this module can be used to link an specific type of node to a forum thread. Something like the concept of your module (which by the way is excellent) but instead of having the comments on the tab, have a forum node. I guess I can do this with Views. I am closing this request. Thank you very much.
