tinyMCE formatting not showing up

Hi there,

I have tinyMCE installed as my text editor and it was working great, but recently when someone uses say bold or italic, it shows up in the comment window but then not in the preview or published comment. Images and emoticons are showing up fine.

Any idea what I've done to muck it up?

Look at your filters

and compare it to what you see in the editor when you turn off tinymce by clicking "disable rich-text" beneath the body edit box.

If you see or and the filter doesn't include that tag that would do it. The emoticons working means your selected filter allows .

Hi Peter,

Thanks very much for responding. I didn't think I'd changed the filter, but when I pasted in another set of someone else's recommended allowed tags, the bold and italic work again.
